DOUGLAS FIR READING CIRCLE:1 & 2
STUDENT PAGES
The questions, comments and responses posed by grade 8 students are part of a collaborative year-long Reading Programme created jointly by the Library and the English Department. These student pages comprise only one of the literary activities realized through this programme.
Students of Mrs. Grimsley, Ms. Tedford, Mr. Tucker and Mr. Doughty participated fully in this programme by ensuring that all students maintained their Reading Response Journals, discussing key questions that arose from their learning, and challenging each others' understanding. Your Task
Your task is to create a thoughtful, personal and innovative question to one of the books that you have read during first term, & then respond to it, using your Reading Response Journals as a guide. Your responses should be thoughtful and demonstrate a close familiarity with the novel. The question should challenge you to create interesting, analytical responses to the novel you are reading, showing evidence of reflective thinking and connections to your experience in the wider world.
